Someone had just recently left a comment on my most recent Elsa cosplay photo telling me that the photo looked like a real life version of this artwork here, and I must say they are pretty similar!! lol This is an absolutely beautiful and stunning piece, you are very talented!! <3
So I love this picture (and Frozen) so much that I downloaded it and made it by desktop background. My roommate walked by recently and said "That's pretty." And I, being a person with a bachelor's degree in art, proceeded to explain to her exactly why she thought it was pretty. Because the main focus of the picture, the figure of Elsa, is off-center, making the placement aesthetically pleasing. Because the color scheme is mostly monochromatic, using shades of blue and white, and just a hint of purple. Because while everything in the background is somewhat chaotic, the eye is immediately drawn to Elsa's face, which is perfectly clear, realistic, and serene. Because it goes so well with the line that Elsa sings in the movie, "I am one with wind and sky." It's hard to discern in some places what is the sky, what is the wind, what is snow, and what is Elsa's dress. Even her fingers fade out into white as they produce magic the same color as the snow which is swirling around her. Most importantly, the soft drapes of her dress as it flows behind her speaks of the elegance of the royal character of Elsa, finally free and happy to be herself. In response my roommate looked at me and was like, "I just knew it was pretty..." O_O All of this is to say, great job, you nailed it!
